It's the coldest winter in 15 years

Without fail, all of the Danes we meet find it necessary to tell us this. Repeatedly. We're aware it's cold. It's about 28 which wouldn't be so bad except it hasn't really stopped snowing (also unusual) and the wind chill brings the temperature down about 10 degrees. Oh so so cold. Not knowing where you're going only makes things worse.

Despite a shaky few days in the transportation department, I seem to be getting the hang of things. I have to judge everything by landmarks. Walking to the train station isn't too bad, but knowing which train to catch has come down to remembering which side of the track to go to. I have no idea what the towns are because I can take two different lines and they have different endpoints. Luckily the trains have a display of the upcoming stops so I know when to get off because I don't understand what they're saying at ALL. Leaving the station the other day was a complete mess because I came out of the station from a different exit than I went in the day before. I found something that looked right based on the stores because street signs are basically useless in this city. The roads seem to change names every few blocks which is so confusing. The train back is more of the same (after again coming out the wrong exit and having my mind completely blown) - landmark after landmark. One of these days (when it stops snowing) I'm going to take pictures and be a super tourist.

This morning we had a "scavenger hunt" around Copenhagen where it snowed sideways and no matter how many layers you were wearing, you were still frozen solid. I have some pretty awesome pictures though - and even a video of the changing of the guards! I'll have to figure out if I can post a video on here because it was really cool. Tomorrow classes start then tomorrow night Sascha and Allan are going to take me out to see Herlev (my town) at night. Hopefully it won't be too terribly cold :)
