A question for all of you

Hello PCJ community! I have a question about contacting your medical nurse. In the letter they sent me with the medical kit, there was one set of information with the name of my nurse and her extension. I went to call it today to ask about my blood work, and the answering machine said a different name than was listed on the paper. I of course double checked, but something's messed up somewhere. Has anyone else had this happen slash does anyone have any advice? Anything at all, please weigh in. I left an awkward message at that number anyway hoping she'd at least call me back and guide me on where it went wrong, but who knows.

  1. Hi there - did the letter you received on 10/30 have the nurse's name and direct line? I also received a letter from my nurse requesting additional information and the letter had her contact info. However, the initial medical kit I received only had my medical assistant's contact information. If not, I'm sure you can find a main number for OMS or even send an email to pre-service unit. Good luck!

  2. It's quite possible that the nurse left PC so they assigned you a new one (I've read in multiple places that it has happened to quite a few people). Maybe you can just call the main line for the OMS and see if they give you the hop, skip, jump to your nurse or answer your question directly for you.

  3. @Coco - It had a name but no contact information.

@Kate - The name on the letter is different than the one in the original, so you're right, a new nurse is entirely possible. I guess I figured since the blogs I read where that happened, their kit was lost in the shuffle.

Thank you both for your input! :) I'll definitely call the main line tomorrow and see what they say

  4. I'm willing to bet my left leg that your old contact has left and that you have a new one. My suggestion would be to track that person down and get their contact information. Good luck.

  5. Regardless of what is going on at PC Headquarters, just call/e-mail and ask for information. After waiting for any contact for 3 months since my medical packet was received at PC Headquarters, I sent an e-mail asking for an update. I received a call the next day from a nurse reviewer. She asked for a copy of a lab report. When I asked for her name to send it to her attention, she just gave me a fax number and said it would get to the right person - - - an indication to me that applicants do not need to know specific names for follow-up contacts. Just call / e-mail and see what happens.
    Good Luck!
