It's summer, and sadly I'm at home with no plans on going out of the country at all. There was too much chaos going on before the end of the semester and I didn't know how much money I'd have left over, so I'll just be here working my two jobs for the summer. And anxiously awaiting NEXT summer when I get to apply to the Peace Corps. Hopefully not going anywhere this summer doesn't hurt me in the long run.
As soon as I get back to school in the fall, I get to apply to go abroad in the spring. Hopefully I'll be heading out to Denmark January - May studying a bunch of stuff (www.dis.dk). I'm aiming to get into the Migration and Identity program which has an included side trip to Bulgaria. I've been practicing Danish and Bulgarian, and Bulgarian is considerably easier. Rees said I just need to apply by October 15, but I plan on emailing Campbell as soon as I get back on campus and asking to get together with him to chat about which course I can use toward the human rights class because then I'd get 2 courses out of the way. Luckily I came in with so many credits that a lot of the courses I'll be taking for fun won't hold me back at all. Now I'm just hoping that all of my scholarships transfer so I'm not getting my hopes up for nothing.
